Seeming as many are going to either the London MCM Expo or Birmingham sometime, it would only be fair if there was a thread for Manchester meet-ups. I need some input from other members whether Manchester would be interesting to ...well... go out, get something nice to eat and drink, and maybe talk about and play on some games. Any ideas on what the best time would be? It could be this Saturday, weather pending, at the earliest, or during the long summer break known as "The Eternal Slumber"

The first time I went to Manchester, I saw the best busker ever on one of the main shopping streets. A big man with crazy dreads and a guitar, who was strumming it and screaming at the top of his voice. You could still hear him 5 minutes walk away. A strange but not unattractive young lady was also gyrating seductively in front of him.
Is he still there? You should all meet up in his vicinity. He'd be easy to find, what with the screaming, so there'd be no difficulty finding the landmarks for strangers to the city.

Maybe he is or isn't there, but there are quite a few other landmarks that I do know, more notably the Manchester Eye (not for Vertigo sufferers like me), the MoSI, and if things get boring, maybe a trip to the Trafford Centre as well

Manchester houses some great buskers... last time I went, I saw one playing Killing Me Softly by the Fugees. He was fantastic.

I'd be up for Manchester, especially the Mario Kart Wii tournament this Saturday. You get a certificate and gift just for taking part ^_^
I know Xelviar lives in Manchester, anyone else nearby?
